A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME is a new idea in  video on DVD for young children.  It is designed for those parents who wish to
introduce their kids, at an early age, to the wonderful sights and sounds of the world outdoors. Unlike "baby DVDs"  that show toys
and puppets, hands and faces, accompanied by the sounds of foreign tongues or sophisticated music, now you have the option to give
your child visual and auditory stimulation from the world of Nature. And this program isn't just for babies. Toddlers and early
school-age children are mesmerized as they see birds closer than they ever have before.

Your baby's mind develops very rapidly in the first year. The things they see and hear each day help nerve pathways to form in the brain.
New experiences lead to enhanced abilities. Babies prefer bright colors, bold patterns and simple sounds. They are enthralled by faces,
even those of animals. They love to play peek-a-boo; to see objects appear and disappear. A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME presents
big, colorful images of real birds making noise, singing, flying, spinning, appearing out of nowhere, and even waving bye-bye!

Toddlers from 1 to 3 years enjoy all the "birdies" more than anyone. They point, and laugh, and crane their necks around any obstacle
to be able to see as each new bird appears on the screen. This age group loves to name things, so the name of each bird appears over
its head. You can tell your child the name yourself, or listen as the narrator speaks. Close-up imagery provides a visual intimacy with wild
birds that most children only achieve with their pets, and they're fascinated.

Children from ages 4-6 years enjoy this quiet escape from the loud, rapid-fire television images that confront them every day. Kids are
curious, and they always have questions about the birds. The DVD has an extra narrative track that you can choose in the menu, with
information about each bird, sure to interest this age group.

As an extra feature we have included two simple games, where children match up birds with other birds, or with habitats, using the
buttons on your DVD remote control.  People who have played these games think they are a lot of fun, and a good way to learn
something new about some of the creatures with whom we share this planet.

The DVD runs 20 minutes and automatically repeats. Between the show and the games, there is video footage of over 50 kinds of birds.
